Sigh

My latest aquisition

Sea Thrift Pink

Will go up front. BUT They only bloom for barely 2 months. Grrr.

dh is going to chicago to kick the tenants out. I will have the day off. NICE

Trained all week. It was rough. Found out R has been telling everyone how terrible the training is going.

OH! I almost fogot! Tuesday night I went to a St. Louis Cardinals baseball game!!!

OMG. That new stadium is so amazing! It was so chilly. Spring is a LONG time coming this year. Very chilly almost every day. Rainy today and 60+ degrees.

Can't plant!

Charlie has his choir performance tomorrow. I hope after this the program is over till next year. I like the WOW services but they don't seem to go with the program.

NOW THE TELL ME!

Resist the urge to cut down or tie up the foliage of tulips and daffodils after they are finished blooming! The bulbs extract and store the nutrients from the leaves for next year's growth and bloom, so by cutting back too soon you risk next year's flowers, and by tying them up you decrease their ability to photosynthesize and create the food they need to store. Unsightly for a time, perhaps, but once the leaves are at least halfway died back they can be trimmed.

Sigh. Hope I didn't murder them too soon.

Bought my 2 Black Eyed Susans for the front and 12 Petunia's for around the lilac bush. Had to resist the urge to get the Pink Mist perriennal, I'll going to look at walmart for that.

I'm exhausted and I have to train all next week!!!

Took Johnny to see The Wild. I wasn't that crazy about it. Too much like The Lion King which I thought was very violent.

I'm getting Vinca's (annuals) for the front and maybe one more ornamental grass for the backyard. And then THAT's IT for this summer's growing season. All the backyard flowers are doing GREAT!!!!!

I'm very excited about this year.

Wish me luck for next week. R is gone after May 13. Although I'm nervous about being 100% on my own at least I have L's help.

Johnny had Church choir performances at all 3 services this morning and didn't sing at any of them!!! ARGH! That annoyed me.

Hope this week goes ok.

bye

Gardening Part II

Finally mulched the back yard garden area. I am now the proud owner of

Blanket Flower

Daylilly

Shasta Daisy

Foxglove

Coneflower

We'll see how these do. The maiden grass is coming back and the crown vetch is MUCH bigger than last year.

The lemon verbena bush shows NO sign of coming back which depresses me. How could it grow SO big then not come back the next year?

My Easter Boys!

Aren't they adorable for Easter? I found matching white polos at Kmart. The first time they've ever dressed up and
matched! Awwwwwwwwww

Tulips are here!!!!

Pics

Also I bought FoxGlove and my first Shasta Daisy! Haven't planted them yet.

Today I bought the kids a slip and slide to keep them occupied while I plant out
front. The 2 above flowers are for the backyard. The lemon verbena shows no signs
of coming back yet which really bums me out. It got so big last summer! How can it
grow so much, get so big and then just die???? FRAK!!!!!

The crown vetch spread nicely and the cone flower is coming back. The daylilly is green but shows now sign of flowering yet. I hope the Daisy and Foxglove take off. The FoxGlove is like a Holly Hock with huge flowere and gets almost 5 feet high!

I cleared weeds and leaves out front, I'm SORE! Forgot how much work that is. I labeled most of the tulips but ran out of posts. Here's the pics!

This week for not training was very hectic. I can't wait till all this calms down. DH is back in Cicero. I'm fucking sick of all this shit.

Kids were good though.

TIRED

Very tired today. Kids up at the frakkin crack of dawn.

My new favorite show is Battlestar Galactica!!! Check it out!
This show is on the Sci Fi Channel and we're renting it from Netflix.
So far my favorites are Lexx, Farscape and Battlestar Galactica.
It's so modern and the plots are so amazing. I am never bored when
I watch this show and it is never predictable. Amazing for writing now.

Tulips are coming up, will get pics up here soon.

Hasn't been consistently warm enough to plant but in about 3-4 more weeks look out!

I can't wait.

Also was very very very stupid and bought a 5 gallon fish tank! With heater
and filter etc. and FISH! OMG what the hell was I thinking?

Will have pics of them also. I love watching them, very relaxing.

I don't have to train for the next 2 weeks!!!! I prep Mon-Wed then off for 4 days
and the week after that R is training M-F and I am watching/learning.

She's talking about bugging out at the beginning of May. Just goes to show
you be careful what you wish for. I am SO unprepared to deliver the rest
myself. I wish I had the last 3 months of my life back and would do
everything differently.

My Life is speeding up

Oh my. 2 weeks since my last post with a trip to Chicago thrown in?

Scary.

Charlie had his stitches out and he's fine. Thank goodness. Will barely scar.

Training Training Training. If I'm not training, I'm preparing for the next training. No time to breath.
But I am very lucky. My class is awesome. Intelligent, funny, nice people. I really got a break on that.

R is still very difficult but if I hang in there hopefully next round I'll have more freedom. Hardly ever
talk to this new manager. Which can be a good thing. The NY group I left are all very very miserable. Very
glad I'm not with them anymore.

Trip to Chicago was to see the musical Wicked that mom had gotten us tickets to as a Christmas present.

Woke up at 5:30am and was in the car by 6:15am. We left Sarah's to pick up Jessie and Hannah. We were almost late
due to a accident caused traffic jam but did arrive with about 10 minutes to spare. It was AWESOME!
I was very impressed.

Then we went out to dinner. I went back to Mom's and took a quick nap. I hate getting up that early, makes me
feel like shit all day.

Then we went out to Andy's bar. Jessy and Sarah hate it but the drinks are cheap and you can get sometimes good
kareokee singing. That night was definitely not the night for it. Ick.

Then woke up Sunday ate breakfast and left. Was home by 4pm.

VERY tired on Monday.

Johnny sung with his kid's choir for the first time Wednesday night at the service. He really enjoyed it.
Charlie has also been up front with his choir. We love love this church.

That's about it. M's going to Cicero for rent issues Sunday. All day with the kids is always interesting.
