2 weeks flew!

My new favorite Show! Rescue me!!!!





WOW, can't believe how 2 weeks have flown by!!!!

Mom visited August 13th. Took the superbus into the city, it stops by Union Station. I was frantically looking for a 'bus station' but the thing is like a city bus that stops outside! wild.

We were supposed to go out to the VFW and she would get to meet C, L, and T but the fucking bus was 2 hours late and we didn't get there till 11:30pm. The kareoke ends at 12am. BUMMER!!!!

The next day we took the kids to the Magic House a children's museum, they all loved it. VERY nice day. Had dinner. Made Chicken Parmesan again. it turned out SO GOOD!!1

Then we went to the Ameristar Casino Saturday night. Sucked at roullette but actually made some back on the penny slots at .90 a roll. Paid off pretty good.

THEN Sunday night was the American Idol Concert!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Met Jennifer at Houlihan's in Union Station. Had this lovely dinner (IN THE HEAT!) outside and walked to Savvis Center. The concert was excellent, better than last year's. We had binoculars and sat in the front row of the high balcony section.

Had Monday Aug 14th off. Took Johnny for his first day of FIRST GRADE!!! I am so excited. I have a good feeling about this year. The teacher Ms Collins is very nice. And the clas has alot of boys, so she'll have to take their needs into consideration.

CRAZY week of work. Monday Aug 21st there was a HUGE accident on 270 and I was stuck on the expressway for 1 1/2 hours. Someone did in this terrible accident, their car sandwhiched between a SEMI carrying cars and a pickup truck. Very ugly.

The rest of the day sucked after that.

NOW I'm off Tue and Wed 22 and 23rd. The cement is done in Cicero and M is over there now. The inspection is tomorrow. OMG we could be almost done with this.

Hopefully things should calm down this weekend.

Still trying to do Thursday night dinner with my work friend Chris (female).

OH yea, had a dentist's appointment for 'debridement' which is tooth scraping and water blasting the tartar off my teeth. They gave me GAS!

DAMN that was a good high. That shit can get totally addicting. Didn't feel a thing. If I didn't have the gas they'd have to peel me off the ceiling. I AM NEVER AGAIN GETTING A DENTAL PROCEDURE WITHOUT GAS! That shit ROCKS!!!!!!!! Left me very tired the rest of the day though. Next time I'll try to nap after that.
