Help me! How do I plant a friggen plant? The cone flower is totally collapsed.

has it been hot there?- maybe it's in shock? if I saw a picture, I'd be better able to diagnose the problem. Did it get enough water? too much?
One thing I am learning is that sometimes even if you do "everythng right" a plant may not come back. Maybe it isn't in the right spot/microclimate who knows... Don't give up!
